Mumbo-Jumbo takes three of the Midlands most experienced gigging musicians – Oliver Carpenter, Chris Lomas and Phil Bond – throws them together in a broadly acoustic format and lets them deliver what they are best at – live music performance.
They play around 85% of their own music, and the writing is so good that they were nominated in the British Blues Awards in the Best Original Song category for their track ‘Nice Work’.
Their 2017/18 festival schedule included Ealing Blues, Upton Blues, Upton Folk, Scarborough Blues, Keswick Jazz & Blues, Nantwich Jazz & Blues, Three Choirs, Jinney Ring Folk, Bromsgrove Folk and Upton Jazz showing the breadth of their accessibility to a range of audiences. Both blues and folk festivals and clubs have discovered Mumbo-Jumbo too!
We can bring our own sound and integrated lighting show which our delightful tech Adam runs to ensure the optimum sound for the room and lighting that brings extra atmosphere and ambience to the gig.
